General Information

The academic activity combines learning through the virtual classroom with in-person simulation and clinical practice experiences, progressively integrated throughout the program. During the first year, the training is also complemented by academic seminars designed to expand and consolidate the knowledge and skills acquired.

Assessment is carried out continuously through active methodologies that place the student in applied learning situations, such as the analysis of real cases and project development. Depending on the characteristics of each subject and the established academic planning, the evaluation system may include in-person exams.

When in-person tests are required, the University will organize sessions in different autonomous communities, aiming to facilitate student access and reduce, as much as possible, travel outside their region of residence.

This training model seeks for the student to advance beyond the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and progressively develop clinical judgment, autonomy, critical thinking, and the ability to make well-founded decisions from the early stages of their training.

From the first year, you will be able to carry out progressive clinical practices in hospitals and health centers near your residence anywhere in Spain. Students residing in other countries can also complete the integrated clinical practices in their country of residence, without needing to travel to the Costa Rica campus. To make this possible, Universidad Mundae maintains an extensive network of agreements with leading healthcare institutions worldwide — general and specialized hospitals, social-health units, and care and simulation centers — which allows the student to begin real healthcare activity from the first year and access, throughout the degree, international clinical rotation mobility programs.

International mobilityMundae University maintains agreements with universities from different countries that allow the mobility of students and faculty in both directions. Through these agreements, we exchange students for stays ranging from six months to one year at institutions such as Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid or the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança in Portugal, among others, and our campus in San José, Costa Rica.

Teaching staffThe Mundae teaching staff is made up of active professionals integrated into the hospital network – tenured professors, clinical tutors, associate specialists – who work every day in the environments where the student trains.

Continuous assessmentThe assessment is continuous and is carried out through active methodologies such as learning based on real cases and applied projects. The goal is for the student not only to acquire knowledge but also to develop clinical judgment, autonomy, and decision-making ability from the beginning of their training.
