Rey Juan Carlos University and Mundae International University hold a strategic meeting in Costa Rica to promote clinical training, research and international mobility in health sciences.

San José, Costa Rica – May 20, 2026.
Rey Juan Carlos University and Universidad Internacional Mundae held a high-level institutional meeting in Costa Rica within the framework of the agreement signed between both institutions, with the aim of strengthening new lines of cooperation in clinical training, academic recognition, applied research and international mobility in the field of health sciences.
The event brought together academic authorities and institutional representatives from both universities, as well as directors from the university hospital network, researchers, clinical professionals and senior representatives from Costa Rica’s education and healthcare sectors.
A space for international cooperation in global health
As one of the most outstanding milestones of the meeting, the Espacio de Proyección Internacional en Formación Clínica e Investigación was officially inaugurated, conceived so that both universities, partner hospitals, research centers and international professionals can jointly develop academic, scientific and healthcare projects.
This space is consolidated as a meeting point to promote: Student and faculty mobility programs, rotations, translational and applied research projects, and high-specialization programs.

During the sessions, Universidad Internacional Mundae presented its ambitious Campus of Clinical Sciences, Research and Advanced Simulation, a technological and scientific complex of more than 8,000 square meters, designed to integrate clinical practice, biomedical research, advanced simulation and artificial intelligence applied to health.
The campus will enable students, faculty and clinical professionals from different nationalities to: Carry out clinical rotations, train in high-fidelity simulation centers, participate in specialization programs and clinical fellowships, develop applied research projects, access digital health and artificial intelligence technologies, and strengthen advanced clinical competencies in an environment of international excellence.
An alliance with a global vision
The alliance between Rey Juan Carlos University and Universidad Internacional Mundae represents an innovative model of international university cooperation.
Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to working together to promote higher education in health without borders, aimed at training highly specialized professionals capable of responding to the major challenges of nursing and global health in the 21st century.
